INVESTMENT
How did top Indy Car drivers like Scott Dixon, Alexander Rossi, and Spencer Pigot get to where they are today? They were assisted early in their careers by investors that made everything possible. For years, wealthy investors / racing enthusiasts have been investing in the careers of up and coming race car drivers. With the cost of racing at the top levels of the sport becoming increasingly more expensive these investors are becoming critical to the success of the next
generation of champions.
Shares are purchased in the racers company giving the investor an ownership interest equal to the number of shares purchased. The funds invested are used to pay for the early stages of the drivers racing career. All funds are carefully accounted for and financial statements are shared annually with the investor pool. Once the driver makes it to the top and becomes a paid professional driver those funds are put back into the company and investors receive a return on their investment equal to the percentage of shares that they own in the company. There are of course no guarantees that investors will make a profit on their investment but for many incredibly talented racers their careers would never have happened without their financing. Imagine the NTT Indy Car Series without drivers like Scott Dixon and Alexander Rossi.
Matt Christensen has proven to have the talent to make it all the way to the top. The current plan is to race the United States USF Juniors Championship in 2022. This series is the first step on the Road to Indy, followed by USF2000, Indy Pro 2000, Indy Lights, and finally the NTT Indy Car Series.
